The Application Process

Here’s what to expect applying for LeapYear.

LeapYear isn't for everyone. It's for students ready to take radical ownership of their lives—their growth, their choices, their formation. We're looking for people who don't need to be managed but are hungry to be mentored. Who won't wait for permission to start building a life worth living.

We want each student to get the best experience possible. This process helps us get to know you—and helps you get to know us.

Online Application

Tell us your story. We want to know who you are, what you're curious about, and why this year matters to you. The application includes short essays and a chance to share what's stirring in your heart. There are no right answers—just honest ones.

Interview

If your application resonates, we'll schedule a conversation. This is a chance to go deeper on your story, ask questions, and see if LeapYear is the right. We're looking for students who are eager, coachable, and ready to do the work.

Acceptance & Deposit

You'll receive a decision within two weeks of your interview. If you're accepted, a deposit secures your spot in the cohort. From there, we'll send everything you need to prepare for your year!
