Madison Bynum joins LeapYear
Madison joins LeapYear as Chief of Staff and Founding Cohort Director to help lead students and build the playbook for future cohorts.
We’re thrilled to announce that Madison Bynum is joining LeapYear as our Chief of Staff and Founding Cohort Director.
Madison is an incredible person, marked by resilience, kindness, and a deep devotion to people. As we spoke with her closest friends and coworkers, they kept returning to her prayer life and her faithfulness. They described someone who seeks people out, invites them into the things she loves, and creates spaces where people feel seen and known.
Her faith shapes the way she leads. Madison brings humility and compassion to her relationships, along with a willingness to hold people accountable because she believes in who they can become. That combination will serve our students well.
Madison also brings years of experience in marketing and operations. She knows how to create clarity, build strong systems, and help a vision take shape. Outside of her professional work, she founded Between The Covers, a women’s book club community that has grown to more than 3,000 members across 30 cities. There, she has shown a rare ability to build the infrastructure for growth while still facilitating deep conversations and close community.

That desire to develop leaders is central to the role she will play at LeapYear. This year, Madison will lead the cohort alongside our founder, Riley Simpson, while building a playbook for future cohort directors. She’ll be learning the work from the inside, investing directly in students, and helping us grow LeapYear in Austin and beyond.
For Madison, this move is the result of a season of prayer and reflection about the kind of work she wants to give herself to.
